What makes a man sexy? His eyes? His body? His swag? Whatever it is, actor Michael B. Jordan clearly has it all. As the 33-year-old has grown over the years, the number of his female fans has grown as well.
Now that people have made this year’s sexiest man alive, there have been a number of fans that have shared their agreement and confirmation on picking the right choice.
While the adoration is nice, Michael posted on his Instagram one of the people’s opinion he does value: his late grandmother’s. “My grandma looking down talking bout ‘that’s my baby’ 🤎😂Thanks @People for naming me 2020’s #SexiestManAlive!”

Growing up, Jordan got one of his many big breaks in the critically-acclaimed HBO series, The Wire. Jordan was one of the original characters making his debut in season one of the Baltimore-based narcotics drama playing Wallace, a young and intelligent boy who got caught up in the local drug-dealing becoming a member of the Barksdale Organisation.
Wallace’s murder at the hands of his childhood friends Bodie and Poot was one of the most heart-wrenching of the series.
Lately, the star has been beefing up his body with insane workout and personal reflection that caught the eye of Men’s Health magazine.
“Everything that I’ve been through—everything that I’ve been taught, all the successes that I’ve had, all the failures that I’ve had, all the wisdom that I was given, I’ve learned from people who have done it before me,” he says. “This past year was all that coming to a boiling point for me to break out into the guy that I am right now.”
Next, when he was a pre-teen and teen starting out in the acting world, Jordan made small appearances in mob boss TV series The Sopranos and Bill Cosby’s sitcom before landing a recurring role in ABC’s All My Children as orphaned Reggie Porter Montgomery.
Despite his success on TV and in film, there are still haters that try to say things about who he should or shouldn’t date and what he should stand for as a Black man. All of that negative talk doesn’t phase Jordan, though.
“You could have all the good intentions in the world, and you’ll still get controversy or some type of negativity thrown your way,” he says to PEOPLE. “Sometimes you’ve just got to trust the universe, you know? You’ve got to just believe in yourself and do what you feel is really right. I think that adds up.”

So what does a mate look like for the “Sexiest Man Alive”?
Coming from nothing to now being the breadwinner of the family, there’s a lot of pressure for him to be able to provide, and he’s at a place where he’d rather sacrifice his time and attention to honing his craft than having a serious relationship. For Jordan, it’s all about taking care of his family first.
“I’m pretty sure the women won’t say that’s good, but for me it’s like I can’t have any regrets and I have to know that I gave everything I had to making my family okay.
At the end of the day, that’s all that matters to me is my family, bro. I come from nothing, so it’s like my family, they came with me. That’s all I care about…”
In 10 years, Jordan — who will next star as a former Navy SEAL-turned-CIA operative in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse — hopes “to be maybe directing a little more, acting less, producing a lot more.”
“Just growing, whatever the next evolution of me is,” he says. “Hopefully a family by then, I’m going to throw that in the universe.
I want to make an impact all over the world and not just through the roles that I play.”
