Toni’s Fitness Routine

Braxton doesn’t take a day off when it comes to fitness. “I work out every day, every single day, seven days a week,” she told Healthy Living.

“If I do cardio, I work on my treadmill. I walk 40 minutes on my treadmill every single day. I’m very lucky, because as a singer, we always use our force. It’s like nature’s sit-ups for singers, but I work out every day.”

The Secret Tool that Keeps Her Skin Glowing

This piece of advice Braxton shared had people looking at her sideways. The “7 Whole Days” hit singer took to Twitter to tell fans about her clever skin-care secret. The Tweet reads: “My real beauty secret? Yea ok it’s a vibrator! But I only use this on my face…honest! There’s 3 settings…but I wouldn’t advise putting it on 3. 🥴”

In the video, Braxton is seen using the Trojan Vibrations Power Wand Deep Massager vibrator–a favorite among women–to simply massage her face, with a focus on under her eyes where many people tend to get puffy. After introducing the tool, she says, “It is a vibrator, but I call it a ‘face tingler’ because it tingles all the muscles in my face and gets them activated and working.” Then, she addresses the elephant in the room: “I haven’t used it on anything other than my face, OK? Just FYI.”

Now, it might sound strange, but what she’s saying about B.O.Bs (Battery Operated Boyfriends) can actually work.

According to dermatologist Brandy Wojenchowski, massaging can help de-swell areas around your eyes and all over your face.

If you don’t have a vibrator (wink, wink), then you can still get the same effect by doing the massage by yourself.

  • Gently rub the sides of your neck in a downward motion, from the area under your ears down to your shoulders. This releases any tense muscles and is also said to help release toxins that built up in your neckline.
  • With one finger (or your knuckle), press the front tips of your eyebrows. This helps to reduce swelling around the eyes.
  • Place pressure on the lower half of the area between your bottom lip and chin.
  • Lastly, press the soft patch of skin in front of your earlobes, and find an area that slightly hurts when you put pressure on it – massage this area for a few seconds. Then, massage the area that caves in right behind your earlobes.

For even better results, Braxton said she puts her vibrator in the freezer prior to using it under her eyes, an area that she said often reflects age.

Alcohol is a part of Toni’s Fitness Equation

Drinking wine every night is Braxton’s number one health tip. “This is old school, but what works for me is I take a half a glass of wine every night. It heals everything. Some people take Robitussin pills every night. I take a half a glass of wine, a nightcap, every night. Not a lot: just a little bit. It keeps my blood thin. It keeps my motion going. It keeps me clear-headed. I just think it’s nature’s tonic,” she told Healthy Living.

The Drink that Starts Her Day

Braxton starts the day with a concoction of “hot water, lemon, and a sprig or two of mint in there,” she revealed to Healthy Living.

“I have two cups of that almost every day, at least four days a week.

Keeps the pipes going, keeps my skin feeling great, gives me energy in the morning without making me feel anxiety.”

Toni’s Secret to Battling Lupus

Braxton has been living with lupus for over a decade now and it’s come with its share of challenges. From having to cancel shows to being rushed to the hospital in the middle of a show, lupus has been attacking her body and her organs.

Her once rigorous performance schedule has had to be scaled back tremendously.

With her condition, she’s made necessary adjustments to help keep flair-ups down, including changes in her diet.

She takes daily medication, including steroid injections to help with inflammation.

Braxton also lives by a healthy diet and exercise regimen and uses CBD – specifically a product called Uncle Bud’s to manage pain.

“I’m becoming plant-based. I’m in the process,” she explained to Prevention.

“But I’m going fully plant-based. It’s making me feel better, so there is some truth to it. But I do miss a good burger!”
