Martin Luther King III, Civil rights advocate and global humanitarian, has dedicated his life to amplifying the work of his father, Martin Luther King Jr. He continues to inspire and lead in advocating for justice and equality worldwide, carrying forward the legacy of his parents. “This is a monumental task. On the one hand, it’s exciting. But on the other hand, it is sad that we live in a nation that is the wealthiest nation on this planet. And yet, we’ve not resolved, probably as my father would have said, one of the most important issues, for our survival, which is health, human health.” In this intimate conversation with UCB’s Sustainability Lead Donna Finale, Martin Luther King III shares his insights on fulfilling his father’s dream and the ongoing work needed in today’s society.
