The BlackDoctor Film Festival (BDFF) is a culturally-driven experience that uses the power of storytelling to spotlight health, wellness, and the lived experiences of Black communities. Through curated films, conversations, and creator engagement, the festival creates space for education, awareness, and meaningful dialogue. It serves as a platform to inspire, inform and amplify voices that are often underrepresented in traditional health narratives.
The first ever BlackDoctor Film Festival Featured over 30 films in-person and online, that brought together powerful voices, compelling films, and a shared belief: storytelling can inspire healthier lives.
We laughed. We cried. We left with questions worth asking—and stories worth sharing.
Nearly 150 people gathered to share their commitment to reaching communities through meaningful, culturally relevant stories. It truly helped create space for honest conversations about our health, our choices, and our families’ futures. Thank you for making our inaugural film festival so meaningful and impactful.
On screen, filmmakers delivered stories that moved us. Stories that made the audience laugh, brought tears to our eyes, and challenged us to reconsider decisions we make about our health. Each offered an opportunity to educate, inform, and ignite healthier change in families across the nation.
