“My mother’s gonna be so pissed. She’s gonna be so mad at me that I worked so hard all of my life and I have given so much to so many people, and how dare I leave without saying goodbye?” Austin recalls of that life-changing moment in a new video for the American Heart Association.
Today as a heart survivor, she cautions others to take the time to get checkups and make healthy choices.
