If you weren’t too fond of past yoga experiences, don’t give up on it this year. It’s possible that you just haven’t found the type that’s best for you. As an expansive practice that over 20 million Americans practice each year, each style has its own unique attributes.

3. Bikram or Hot Yoga

Bikram yoga is a specific style created by yoga master Bikram Choudhury. It entails a set of 26 moves that are done twice in a heated, 90-minute class. Hot yoga is similar to Bikram. The room is heated, and it involves sequences of linked Vinyasa-like movements.

Power isn’t your regular yoga. It’s much quicker than other yoga types and incorporates some weight-training and cardio to boost the traditional Vinyasa class.
